As the Day Begins
A Morning Meditation on 1 John 1:3,7“We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.” (1 John 1:3)“But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7) There is something…

There are four types of reconciliation, though the New Testament only speaks to the first three: 1) God's reconciliation to me; 2) My reconciliation to God; 3) Reconciliation of believers in the one Body of Christ; and 4) Reconciliation of specific human relationships. Only the first and fourth are ever instantaneous. The second and third take time and effort, but are of great importance to God.

One Body of Christ, Many Churches
Greetings to the Churches of God, and the brethren of Jesus Christ I, a continuing servant of our Holy Lord, King of all Kings, and Creator of Life from the beginning to the end do write to you today in hope of our mutual alignment with our Great Father in Heaven. Unity in Uniqueness - There's No Other Way!
“Everyone else is __ and I’m not. I don’t fit in. I must be weird or something.” I would venture to guess that every person has had those thoughts at some point in their life. I just discovered that this is a LIE! Who knew? We tend to see patterns among our associates – friends, coworkers, family members, neighbors. Because we have a strong desire to belong, we look for those who are similar…

No Class (1 Corinthians 11:17-22)
We are all to ensure that our meetings together are helpful, life-giving, and promote the common good of everyone. Anything less than this is simply unchristian.
In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good. In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it. No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God’s approval. So then, when you come together, it is not the Lord’s Supper you eat, for…

Our Journey Beyond Borders
Our voyage through eastern Canada has been filled with wonderful sights, sounds, and plenty of opportunities to meet fellow travelers. The last two days in Sydney and Halifax, Nova Scotia, have been particularly memorable. However, the high points of faith always take center stage in my mind. Just yesterday, we commemorated Jesus’ ascension to heaven, and now I reflect on how His disciples…

Anchored in Peace, United in Love, Rooted in Gratitude: A Reflection on Colossians 3:15
Introduction: The verse from Colossians 3:15 is a powerful reminder of the peace that comes from Christ and the unity we are called to as members of one body. It also emphasizes the importance of gratitude in our lives. Let’s delve deeper into these themes. The Peace of Christ: The peace that Christ offers is unlike any other. It’s a peace that surpasses understanding and guards our hearts and…

Paul also approved of mediation of disputes between Christians by other believers
In Philippians 4:2-3, Paul approved of churches offering to provide mediators even when none has been requested. Mediation is thus the only means of seeking reconciliation that the OFFENDED party does NOT have to initiate, Church leaders should do so.
The theme verse of this installment is Philippians 4:2-3, in which Paul first exhorts Euodia and Syntyche to put their differences aside and agree with each other, then encourages one of the other leaders in Philippi, who he calls his “true partner” to help the two women come into agreement: Philippians 4:2-3 (WEB). This appears to be a request by Paul to his “true partner” in Philippi to…

Above All These - Colossians 3:12-14
After several weeks taking a deeper dive into Colossians 3:12-14, we conclude with the quality that binds all the others, and all of God’s people, together. Love is undeniably important for Christians, and if it is pursued diligently, many other things will naturally fall into place.
